Art Direction // Creative Strategy

Vital Game Networks is a server network creating unique experiences for players on a variety of games. They boast over 20,000 unqiue players across their network every week. They wanted to expand their corporate image so they could start to engage with potential sponsors as well as create a brand in which their players could be a part of. I was tasked with art-directing their re-brand, create a sponsor deck as well as develop a player engagement programs.

As part of the re-brand project I sourced a illustrator to create the initial brand identity and identified the key themes and deliverables the stakeholders would need to future proof their brand.

I created a ‘gamified’ sponsor deck to reach out to various brands in the space. This was a new type of advert medium so this required a detailed deck to go over what exactly the sponsor would be buying into and the new potential reach. 
The final part of the project was to create a community engagement program. Many players like to create and upload their own content. So I story boarded and scripted two trailers. One was for short form content, designed as a brand intro and the other a more in-depth and informative. The strategy was to give rewards or benefits to those in the community who used the branded trailers on their own content. 
The second part was to engage players, so we developed in-game giveaways as well as personalised branded banners and profile images that the players could rep on their Discord or Twitter profiles.
